About the event

Join us for our biggest party of the year! During this celebration, we will be erecting the May Pole, dancing with friends, eating our weight in food, and crowning this years May Queen and May King!

Before the party kicks off, we will have a coven meeting at 3 pm to discuss our goals, plans, and concerns for the next 6 month. This meeting is open to any member of the Pagan community that is intersted in being involved with the coven. Everyone will have the opportunity to share their insight, and all voices will be heard. May Day marks the transition of responsibility from our Winter Council to our Summer Council. After the coven meeting, we will announce the names of the nominiees for the Summer council. If there are more than seven nominees that are willing to accept this responsibility, a vote will be held to select the seven representatives of our coven. All initiated members have the right to vote for our new council members.

Following the meeting, there will be an initiation for all those who wish to join our coven. After the initiation, members will sign the Book of Names and a group photo will be taken. We encourage members to wear white and flower crowns for the May Day photos if posssible. Group photos are taken twice each year at the May Day Celebration and at our Ancestor Night Gathering.

While this is a joyous occasion, it is also the last holiday that Angela Strehl and Sara Hopkins will share with us before they move to Spokane, Washington. Rather than a charity drive, we invite guests to bring a gift for Angela and Sara as we bid them farewell and bless them on their journey.

Here are some things that you may wish to bring:

🌸 A side dish to share

🌸 A flower crown

🌸 A white or light colored outfit

🌸 A gift for Angela and Sara, who have done so much for our coven

🌸 Any item that you would like to bless on the altar
