WE'RE GLAD YOU'RE HERE!

One of the hardest steps of the recovery process is reaching out for help and being open to receiving support from others.

The journey of recovery may feel long, but it is much easier with supportive company on the way.

Join us Tuesdays at 7:30 pm at ASAP Hub

OUR MISSION

We are a welcoming and inclusive recovery community dedicated to supporting individuals on their healing journey, regardless of background, belief system, or path. Rooted in an earth-centered spiritual perspective, we honor the interconnectedness of all life and recognize the wisdom found in nature, cycles, and personal transformation.

S.T.A.R provides a safe and supportive space where individuals can explore recovery through a variety of sources, including unique activities, tools, and traditions that foster healing, balance, and growth. We respect the diverse experiences of those in recovery, affirming that each person's path is unique and worthy of honor.

Together, we cultivate resilience, self-discovery, and spiritual connection, walking side by side as we reclaim our wholeness and live in harmony with ourselves, our communities, and the natural world.

All who seek recovery and community are welcome here.

If you would like to learn more about this program, you can reach the facilitators at pir.star.in@gmail.com

S.T.A.R. HAS A NEW BRANCH

AT MADISON CORRECTIONAL FACILITY!

Earlier this year, Tree of Knowledge was contacted by staff at Madison Correctional Facility with a request for assistance. Volunteers from our coven were invited to organize spiritual activities and celebrations for the Pagan population of women in the facility. There are currently 52 individuals who identify as Pagan, Wiccan, Satanist, or followers of Earth-centered faiths.

Along with leading spiritual activities and classes, a volunteer from the coven has also organized STAR meetings each week. If you would like to help us offer spiritual activities, educational resources, or ritual materials, you can show some love by donating an item from either of the wish lists below.

Recovery Cafe

Recovery Cafe Columbus offers a beautiful, safe, warm, drug and alcohol- free space that comes with a loving community to anchor people in the sustained recovery they need to gain and maintain access to housing, social and health services, healthy relationships, education, and employment. We offer peer support groups, classes for growth and enrichment, regular social gatherings, and a dedicated resource specialist. We also offer daily meals and hot coffee, all at no cost.

Alliance for Substance Abuse Progress (ASAP)

ASAP is building a community empowered by prevention and transformed by recovery. Through free workshops, events, and the “Rethinking Wellness” initiative, we equip individuals with the tools to make healthier choices and avoid potential substance misuse. When addiction takes hold, we direct those in need to healing resources and programs so that they have the chance to recover and thrive.

Sober Living Facilities

The core services of a sober living home include building a strong sense of community among peers in recovery and providing safe housing away from triggers and temptations. The level of accountability is an important program feature when considering a sober living home. These levels range from peer-run environments relying on mutual support to homes with trained staff that provide a more structured program. Bartholomew County is home to options that represent a variety of care levels.

Recovery Meetings

Columbus has a variety of recovery meetings from AA and NA to SMART and Celebrate Recovery! Check out the calendar of local meetings to see what is best for you.

About Pagans In Recovery

Pagans in Recovery (PiR) is a 12 Step/12 Tradition fellowship based on the example pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. Our wish is to assure people seeking recovery that they can recover without having to accept anyone else’s beliefs or to deny their own. We welcome people who follow alternative spiritual paths, including those who worship or work with one or more Goddesses, Gods, Spirits, Energies, Powers, or Ancestors, and whose spirituality may include magical practices.

PIR does not seek any conflict or controversy. Nor are we are allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution. Our primary purpose is to help one another and ourselves to achieve and maintain recovery. Pagans in Recovery is not specific to any individual Twelve-Step program, nor do we wish to compete with or replace any of them. Rather, PiR is available to all who need it, to be used in conjunction with the Twelve Step programs we individually are involved in. Because of this diversity of our community we define recovery in multiple ways. As such, the recovery language used in our meetings, for example “sobriety” is left up to each individual.
