Palmistry & Tea Leaf Reading

This is a free class, and all are welcome! Join us was we explore two popular Victorian divination methods: Palm reading (palmistry or chiromancy) and Tea leaf reading (tasseomancy or tasseography). These simple divination methods are easy to learn and can be used with  tools that you most likely have already: two hands and a tea cup.

In this class, we will learn a little bit of history surrounding the  scandalous (and illegal!) divination practices of the Victorian era.  After a brief demonstration of the tea ritual, guests will exchange  readings with a partner and enjoy some of the wonderful teas that are  available at The Pacey Apothecary.  All you need to bring is your favorite cup (with a handle and light  color is best). We will also learn the art of palmistry, which is a  great way to get to know new friends, weed out bad dates, and is always a  fun trick to pull out at parties!
