This year, we introduced a "calming corner" as a place to relax and unwind for the kids that may be overwhelmed by the noise of our holiday celebrations. We have noticed that adults benefit from this space as much as the kids do! We have started creating a calming corner at all of our holiday gatherings (event the 18+ events) complete with sensory activities, fidget toys, stuffed animals, and coloring postcards. Along with being a soothing activity for those at the gatherings, these postcards are also a blessed and sent to friends that are not able to to join us in person (including the Patreon supporters that choose to share their address for gifts by mail).
